Job Description

Core capabilities:

The candidate should have hands-on experience in

• Day-to-day analysis of security events, researching the impact of events


• Determining the level of risk to the organization and responding appropriately.


• Basic knowledge of information security principles, understanding of networks, operating systems, web applications and a level of familiarity with common techniques used by attackers and malicious code.


• Exposure to Security Standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills Required:

• Must have a keen technical inclination to learn several
technologies around Information Security domain


• Must be very strong on basics of Operating Systems, Networks and Web applications.


• Through understanding of networking concepts TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP etc


• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS and web application architectures


• Understand of Information Security concepts (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) and technologies (3DES, AES, PKI, SHA, SSL, SSH, IPSec, etc) around secure transmission and storage of data over public networks


• VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) tools such as Nessus, eEye Retina, IBM Rational AppScan, nmap, etc.


The candidate must have ability to


* monitor and report network, system and application logs for security events


* Perform vulnerability assessments, reporting and tracking to closure


* remediation of new vulnerabilities in coordination with stakeholders


* perform routine audits to ensure compliance with security policy


 The candidate should have hands-on experience in monitoring and managing security incidents through state-of-the-art systems/software including


* Syslog, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems


* Security Compliance Management software


• Exposure to UNIX platform with exposure to shell scripting would be an added advantage.
